Objective |
| The purpose of LTI Korea Translation Academy Special Course is to train translators to produce good translations that are true to the original text and accessible to target language readership. |
Description |
| Centered around hands-on literary translation practice, the program includes lectures on Korean literature, meeting with Korean writers, and trips to places where literary works are set. |
Target Languages |
| English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese (7 languages) |
Duration |
One lecture a week for 24 weeks (two hours for a lecture, 7-9 pm on weekdays) The first semester will be from April to June, 2010 for 12 weeks, and the second semester will be from September to November, 2010 for 12 weeks.

Criteria |
1. applications review
2. writing exam and interview. |
Application Schedule |
Apply between February 22, 2010~March 5, 2010. The selected applicants from the application review will be announced on March 12, 2010.
The writing exam will be conducted at 19:00(tentative) on March 15, 2010.
The interview: one day between March 16,2010 ~ March 23, 2010.
The final applicants will be announced and the registration will begin from March 26 to 31, 2010.
The courses will start with the orientation on April 1, 2010.
Outstanding graduates of this course may get a practical opportunity to work as a translator of The Translation Atelier organised by LTI Korea.
